Email Information

Members of the Ft. Lauderdale H.O.G. chapter receive a weekly email when the HOG Slop is updated or when special events are scheduled. Some members have reported problems receiving the weekly email. The problem is likely occurring due to the email being caught in email providers' spam filters.

Listed below are several of the more popular email providers and solutions for getting the HOG Slop email around those spam filters.

	1. Click the “Address Book” button on the AOL Mail page. 2. Click the “Add Contact” button. 3. Type kent@flhogslop.com into the “Screen Name” field and click “Save.”
	1. Sign in to Comcast Webmail and select “E-mail Options” from the menu on the left. 2. Select “Spam Filter” from the “Mail Options” window. 3. Click “Edit/View Spam Filters” from the “Comcast E-mail Settings” list. 4. Select “Yes” to “Enable Spam Filtering.” 5. To keep a copy of each message the spam filter removed from your inbox, select “Yes” to “Keep Local Copy.” This moves each spam E-mail to the “Screened Mail” folder. 6. Click “Update” to enable spam filtering.
	1. Click the “Options” link at the top right of your E-mail account. 2. On the left side of the page, click “Mail,” and then click “Junk E-mail Protection.” 3. Click “Safe List.” 4. Type kent@flhogslop.com into the open field and then click “Add.”

	1. Click the “Mail Options” link in the top right navigation bar in your E-mail account. 2. Click “Filters” on the bottom left side of the page, under the Spam column. 3. Click the “Add Filter” link. 4. Type kent@flhogslop.com to the right of “From header contains:”. 5. Choose the destination folder to which you would like the message delivered. The suggested destination is your inbox. 6. Be sure to click the “Add Filter” button to put your new filter into effect.
	1. Click on the “Address Book” link in your Web Mail account. 2. Click the “Add” button or “Add to Address Book” link. 3. Fill in kent@flhogslop.com.
	1. Click on the Spam folder. 2. Find and select the latest HogSlop email from kent@flhogslop.com. 3. Click on the "Not Spam" button.
	1. Send me an email from the account you used on you chapter membership form. 2. I will reply to you (be patient, this is one of 10 email accounts I monitor). 3. Foward my reply to your email to your provider's "this is not spam" address. Example: Bellsouth: ThisIsNotSpam@bellsouth.net Adelphia: ThisIsNotSpam@adelphia.net Your provider's method may vary. Google "<your provider> not spam email" to find out what method they suggest.
