The day began with one of the most horrible thunderstorms ever in South Florida. Severe rain and lightning. It was time to put up or shut up. So we donned our rainsuits and hit the road. We got out of the rain by Fort Pierce and it was clear skies the rest of the way. Unfortunately it was very very hot. We had to start hydrating the day before the trip. And because of that, we all did pretty good, making sure to drink plenty of fluids along the way. We also stopped about every 80 miles on average to top off fuel and take a 5 minute break for drinks and such. We stopped for the night in Forsythe, Georgia (where they have wi-fi at the Holiday Inn Express!). We'll be hitting the road by 7am tommorrow to stop for the night at Harrah's Hotel and Casino in Tunica, MS! Stay tuned...
